Mother’s Day 2009

Is nothing sacred?

For over a year I have been telling my family that I wanted to start a blog.  Imagine my surprise when my thoughtful husband set up a website for me as Mother’s Day gift!  I was just tickled, not only because he gave me such a fantastic gift but because he had heard what I wanted and made it happen.  Immediately following the initial elation my stomach fell to the tips of my toes as I realized I didn’t have any more excuses not to be writing!

So, here is where the sacred part comes in…Visualize, Mother’s day weekend is over and I sit down and type in my website address.  Oh, I am so excited and what do you think is there to greet me on my brand spankin’ new blog site, an entry, on my blog and why, I didn’t enter it! Uh-huh…

My husband had been there before me…and this is what he wrote:

Today we went to Crowder’s Mountain and hiked for what seemed like an eternity. I can not believe that a short 3 mile hike can be so difficult to manage. I have come to grips with the reality that I am not a 15 year old girl any longer.

Now the next line in that paragraph was something about my 15 year old daughter trying to keep up with me, but my daughter had been here too to do some editing.

I am thinking I have two options at this point-

1. I can change my password and not tell a soul what it is.

or

2. If anyone takes offense about anything written here I can claim “the first”.  The first being the first entry on my blog which states…My family members occasionally hijack my blog and pose as me!
